Falk came to us at 5 years of age after a memorable career in Germany. For years after he left Germany, he was remembered and admired by German fanciers we met. He had a huge character and power-level combined with steadfast nerve. He turned heads anywhere he went by his sheer presence aside from the fact that his structure and movement were without fault. Medium-sized, short-coupled with moderate and balanced angles, he produced outstanding structure in his off-spring. A sense of responsibility, good judgment and remarkable character were among the attributes he produced.
We learned much from Falk’s indomitable spirit, his substantial sense of self and dignity. Even five generations on, we would see glimpses of Falk in our dogs.

Gyttja earned a faultless breed survey in Germany under Herr Thielen during a weekend of almost 80 dogs presented for survey. She won a standing ovation for her protection performance! She was affectionate in her therapy service, flashy and responsive in obedience, focused in tracking. She had high train-ability and passed this on to her off-spring. Another trademark of her progeny and grand-progeny has been their very social natures - they loved people!
After years of traveling to Germany and studying dogs and pedigrees, we had our first choice from Gyttja’s litter. She was an eager student in training and earned her schutzhund titles in Germany under a variety of working judges. We had five litters from Gyttja from various males and her progeny and grand-progeny retained the highest abilities in training, their social natures and very good anatomy.

Ulme was imported at 5 years of age after a wonderful career in Germany. She produced many progeny that were highly rated in regional and national events. She was substantial in character and well mannered in any situation. A breeder’s dream, she was an easy whelper and a superlative mother. Ulme lived into her 14th year with strong physical health. She was adaptable, loyal and noble - just what a GSD should be! She produced nationally ranked and high placing dogs in both of our litters from her. Ossi v Framheim was ranked AKC 2nd in JWW and 9th in NA. Ondine was ranked in the AKC top 20 for UDX, was a CKC-OTCH and earned AKC-OTCH points. Serena placed in the highest rating of SG in the 2000 USA Sieger Show Youth Class. Her other progeny are no less impressive in their endeavors whether in competition or as loving family members!
